Import
- Import Manifest information is submitted 48 hours prior to vessel arrival to terminal. Fines shall apply to any amendment to cargo information after this deadline.
- Release of IMO cargo (class 1 & 7) must be done immediately, cannot stay in port.
- Telex release is no longer valid in Chile. Cargo is released upon surrender of either an Original Negotiable Bill or Seaway Bill.
- Used Tyres are not accepted in Chile, with exception of cargo in transit to Bolivia. A particular clause needs to be included in the Bill of Lading – cargo description.
- Do not accept 20’ Reefer units.
- Do not offer Inland transportation for Dangerous Cargo (IMO) of any kind.
- Personal Goods should be consigned to a NVOCC.
- Bill of Lading with no freight details (Freight as per agreement) is only allowed when Consignee is a Freight Forwarder or NVOCC.
- Counter services in Chile are provided by Columbus / Ultramar (Additional – Administration Fees may apply)
- For cargo going to Bolivia, Bill of Ladings must be claused as follows: "CARGA EN TRÁNSITO A BOLIVIA" (meaning "Cargo in transit to ..., Bolivia"). Clause "CARGA EN TRÁNSITO A BOLIVIA BAJO EL ART. 3 DEL DECRETO SUPREMO N° 25947" is only workable in BLs with final delivery place in Bolivia (Bolivia Store Door).
- Weight Restrictions: 22,100 Kilograms + Tare for 20’Dry. 27,000 Kilograms + Tare for 40’Dry. Road Weight Limitation: 45,000 Kilograms total (cargo + container + truck + chassis).

Our setup in Chile consists of Combined Demurrage & Detention.
This means you will have one combined free time period and compensation for utilization of equipment inside and outside of terminals or depots including compensation for utilizing the port, terminal or depot facilities, referred to as Combined Demurrage & Detention.
Note: Below tariffs are not applicable to SPOT bookings.
For SPOT bookings, you must see it directly on the web, entering with your user in the DELAY and DETENTION of IMPORTS section which is at the bottom of the main page. It is always suggested to check the free days, once you are putting in place the booking, this way you can inform your consignee.
