Demurrage and detention
- The shipper on the B/L should be a Nicaragua company (legal entity) for customs purposes, any special request please contact customerservice@sealandmaersk.com.
Weight limitations
- 2 axle chassis max weight = 21 MT
- 3 axle chassis max weight = 23.5 MT (subject to availability, it has to be requested with at least 48hrs in advance and has a cost of $150.00 USD per day the first 5 days and extra cost of $60 dollars per days after that time)
- Swb and OBL allowed for exports
Our setup in Nicaragua consists of Combined Demurrage and Detention.
This means you will have one combined free time period and compensation for utilization of equipment inside and outside of terminals or depots, referred to as Combined Demurrage & Detention.
Effective September 10th, 2021 our tariff charges will be:
