Demurrage and detention
- AES Shipping Instructions must be submitted 24 hours before vessel departure.
- As part of the US Customs 24 Hour Rule regulations, ‘To the order of’ Bills of Lading are not accepted for shipments destined to the U.S. or routed via U.S. ports.
- U.S. Customs also does not accept the commodity descriptions ‘Freight all kinds’, nor ‘General Merchandise (GDSM) or the package type ‘pallets’.
- No acceptance of vehicles older than 8 years.
There are no Detention & Demurrage applicable for Export cargo for Suriname.
