Commodities
Cigarettes / processed tobacco carrier haulage is subject to excise permission. Excise add on is applicable on top of the trucking rate.
Metal scrap acceptance is subject to PSIC (pre-shipment inspection certificate) issued by the approved surveyors. Metal scrap is not accepted for carrier haulage. For some destinations consignee must be approved by Sealand in destination countries. For additional questions please contact Sealand Georgia, Tbilisi office.

Weight Limitations for SD export/import :
- 20’dry – 25 tons
- 40’dry – 27 tons
- 45’hc – 27 tons
- 20'reefer – 23.8 mt
- 40'hreefer – 25.8 mt

No weight limitation
In case of overweight please contact Maersk Georgia, Poti office.
Special cargoes
There are generally no restrictions, though for trucking to inland points special Hazardous goods, IMO cargo, excise and special cargo are subject to additional charges and prior approval by Sealand Georgia, Poti office.
No acceptance of reefer cargo on rail.

Expiry Date: Until further notice
Freetime and charges per container per calendar day (i.e. including week-ends and holidays) after freetime expires. Start date and end date are included in the calculation.
The Free time and charges applied for Demurrage and Detention will be those in place at the origin Price Calculation Date (PCD).
Please note that below export demurrage and detention tariffs are applicable for SPOT shipments.
Notes:
- Shipper’s Own Container is considered as equivalent to corresponding container type
- 40´ High and 45´ High containers are considered equal to 40´
- IMO cargo follows freetime & rate of Dry
- Shipper’s owned tank with DRY cargo follows freetime & rate of Dry equipment
- For special deals: Please bear in mind that the calculation method of charges for special deals (free-time granted > tariff free-time) is ‘progressive’ and the lead off rate slap(s) will be reduced by the number of days in excess of tariff free-time.
- NOR (non-operating reefer) is considered as Dry Container
- Pricing structure in Georgia consists of two elements; 1. Demurrage 2. Detention.
- Detention starts with empty pick-up date (included) and ends with gate-in full date(included).
- Demurrage starts with gate-in full date (included) and ends with load on board date (included).
