Freetime and Demurrage

Demurrage and detention pages effective as of 15th January 2020

Demurrage Export

Demurrage export starts as from gate-in full day (included) at port and ends with load date (included) to vessel.

Free time and charges per container per calendar day (i.e. including week-ends and holidays) after free time expires. Start date and end date are included in the calculation.

Notes:

  • Demurrage is including terminal storage costs and plug-in fees.
  • Demurrage is invoiced based on combination of equipment size and cargo type.
  • Shipper’s Own Container is considered as equivalent to corresponding container type.
  • High cube and 9’6’’ equipment is considered equal to 8’6’’ equipment.
  • For special deals: Please bear in mind that the calculation method of charges for special deals (free time granted > tariff free time) is ‘progressive’ and the leadoff rate slap(s) will be reduced by the number of days in excess of tariff free time.
  • ‘40´ High and 45´ High containers are considered equal to 40´’

Detention Export

Detention export starts with empty gate-out day (included) and ends with gate-in full day (included) at terminal.

Free time and charges per container per calendar day (i.e. including week-ends and holidays) after free time expires. Start date and end date are included in the calculation.

Notes:

  • Detention is invoiced based on combination of equipment size and cargo type.
  • Special equipment, such as Flat Racks and Open Top equipment will always follow reefer free time and tariff.
  • High cube and 9’6’’ equipment is considered equal to 8’6’’ equipment.
