Restrictions

  • Commodity – There are no restrictions in place. Special certificates are needed for plants/seeds (phyto-sanitary certificate), and meat or fish (Veterinary and Origin certificates) depending on destination. Please ask our Customer Service team for more details.
  • Weight and measurement – For general information on weight and measurement restrictions please contact your local Sealand office.
  • Special cargoes – There are generally no restrictions, though for trucking to inland points special permits may be needed (dependent on the actual oversize, so please inquire). For dangerous cargo the dangerous cargo papers must be provided and approved at the time the booking is placed. Please ask our Customer Service team for exact details.

Other Charges

Services, surcharges and fees 


In addition, the following local surcharges may apply to exports:

B/L Amendment Fee Up to 75 euro per Bill of Landing.
Certificate Fee 20 euro per certificate.
Weighting at the terminal gate (carrier haulage only) 45 EUR per container
Weighting at the terminal yard (both carrier and merchant haulage)  120 EUR per container 
Booking Cancellation Fee USD 50 per container, applicable when booking is cancelled less than 7 days before vessel arrival 
Renomination Fee  EUR 30 per container, applicable when Customer request to change vessel/voyage after container's GATE-IN to DCT Gdansk
VGM discrepancy Fee  EUR 30 per container, applicable when cargo booked weight + container's tara declared during GATE-IN DCT Gdansk differs from final VGM by more than 1000 kgs 
Manual Documentation Fee  USD 25 per B/L. 
All shipping instruction must be submitted through the website or any other online platform (EDI, INTTRA etc.).
In case Customer still wish to submit the shipping instructions manually, a Manual Documentation Fee (MDF) is applied.
