Exports

For export rates at loading ports, such as Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, please check the respective country sites.

Export procedures:

  • Bill of lading clausing, documentation No special clauses / restrictions apply.
  • Special Customs Requirements An export declaration must be filed with customs. This should be done by the shipper/exporter themselves.

Export restrictions:

  • Commodity There are some restrictions in place, depending on destination. Please ask our Customer Service team for exact details.
  • Weight and measurement For general information on weight and measurement restrictions please contact your local Seago Line office. The general road limitations are 40 mt for truck, chassis, cargo and tare weight of container.
  • Special cargoes There are generally no restrictions, though for trucking to inland points special permits may be needed (dependent on the actual oversize, so please inquire). For dangerous cargo the dangerous cargo papers must be provided and approved at the time the booking is placed. Please ask our Customer Service team for exact details.

Demurrage / Detention / Free time

Demurrage and detention effective as of 1st of April 2018

Demurrage Export

For Demurrage Export tariff, please refer to the tariff of the load country.

Detention Export

Detention export starts with empty gate-out day (included) and ends with gate-in full day (included) at terminal.

Free time and charges per container per calendar day (i.e. including week-ends and holidays) after freetime expires. Start date and end date are included in the calculation.

Notes:

  • Detention is invoiced based on combination of equipment size and cargo type.
  • Special equipment, such as Flat Racks and Open Top equipment will always follow reefer free time and tariff.
  • High cube and 9’6’’ equipment is considered equal to 8’6’’ equipment.
  • For special deals: Please bear in mind that the calculation method of charges for special deals (free time granted > tariff free time) is ‘progressive’ and the leadoff rate slap(s) will be reduced by the number of days in excess of tariff free time.
