COVID-19 Updates - South China

We would like to share with you the latest updates related to the outbreak of COVID-19 and any impact to Sealand Asia’s operations in South China


Our leadership teams, as well as management in all other areas where cases of COVID-19 have been identified, are closely monitoring the situation as part of our strong commitment to ensure the safety of our employees whilst working towards mitigating any possible impact to our customers’ operations.

MAY 12, 2020


General Status:


Hong Kong – Borders are closed to all non-residents (including transit passengers) and residents coming back from overseas are required to take 14 days quarantine. This policy took effect from 24Mar 2020 midnight and will last for two weeks until further notice.


Mainland China South (mainly Guangdong Province) - 14days quarantine is required for people coming back from overseas or from cities within Mainland China which under middle or high level of COVID-19 risk control.


Our Office and Counter Service:


Counters: Our Shenzhen /Guangzhou/Hong Kong counters are operating as normal.


Offices:
Hong Kong/Shenzhen Office – will resume normal working at office from 11th May.
Guangzhou Office – employees are working from home currently and will resume normal working office hours from 18th May.


Port/Terminal/Depot Update:


Ports, terminals and depots are operating as normal.


Truck Situation:


There have been no reports of disruption in trucking operations.

Shenzhen /Guangzhou - normal business hours
Hong Kong - working hours have changed to 08:30-14:30


Offices:
Our teams are working from home as much as possible following government guidance
Shenzhen/Guangzhou Office - WFH if no VPN connection issue as no aircon in the office


Operational Updates:


Our operations including Terminal, Depots, Offices and other related facilities as well as our import and export processes continue to operate as per usual.


We are in constant communication with our customers to optimize the deployment of available resources. Rest assured that we are making every effort to maximize our capacity to support your needs.
