COVID-19 Updates - Indonesia

We would like to share with you the latest updates related to the outbreak of COVID-19 and any impact to Sealand Asia’s operations in Indonesia.


Our leadership teams, as well as management in all other areas where cases of COVID-19 have been identified, are closely monitoring the situation as part of our strong commitment to ensure the safety of our employees whilst working towards mitigating any possible impact to our customers’ operations.

General Status:


In general, the central government has announced to reduce social interaction. For critical areas, the government has issued an appeal letter to temporarily stop office activities until end of March or early April. However, many offices (especially factories) are still open and run as per usual while limiting visitors as precautions. Public services are also still open.


Our Office and Counter Service:

All our offices remain open to serve our customers while our employees have been provided with the option of working from home.
Counter hours have been changed to 8am to 4pm from 16 March 2020 until further notice.


Ports/Terminals/Depots:


Our warehouses and ports are operating as normal. Quarantine process will only be conducted for vessels that enters Indonesia directly from other country. The process usually takes 3-6 hours and will only be done on their first call at the first port in Indonesia during anchorage process or before berthing.

All of depot working hours in Indonesia is reduced & closed on Sunday. Details below:


INA-COVID-UPDATES

Process Changes/Alternative Solutions/Other reminders for EXPORT

  • OBL printing
    We recommend to convert the document to be Seawaybill or to utilize our new telex re-lease process. Telex release process will free of charge during this period. Request of telex release should be sent to id.export@sealandmaersk.com and no need to print the original BL.
  • Certificate
    We recommend to convert the document to be Seawaybill or to utilize our new telex re-lease process. Telex release process will free of charge during this period. Request of telex release should be sent to id.export@sealandmaersk.com and no need to print the original BL.
  • Telex Release
    Drop the documents (Original BL with endorsement, LOI of telex, Authorization letter, letter of duty, and copy of ID) at our front desk and get document receipt. Telex release notice will be sent to the appointed email that stated in authorization letter. No need to wait.
  • Switch BL
    Drop the documents at our front desk (Original BL, Authorization letter, letter of duty, Container guarantee letter and copy of ID) at our front desk and get document receipt. Switch BL will be proceed and we convert to be Telex release. Telex release notice will be sent to the appointed email that stated in authorization letter. No need to wait.
  • EBL
    Print your own OBLs. No need to wait for us and travel to our offices to pick it up. Just send over a scanned copy of the signed EBL agreement and we will provide the secure paper to you.
  • SeaBot
    Provision of instant answers to queries regarding your shipments can easily be accessed via FB Messenger, LINE or Whatsapp. You can track your shipment, checking ETD/ETA, checking payment and even calculate your DnD import.

Process Changes/Alternative Solutions/Other reminders for IMPORT:

  • OBL surrender
    Drop the documents (Original BL, Authorization letter, letter of duty, Container guarantee letter and copy of ID) at our front desk and get document receipt. DO will be submitted online for shipment discharge in terminal NPCT1 and for shipment discharge in other terminal, DO will be sent to the appointed email that stated in authorization letter. No need to wait.
  • Certificate
    Request should be sent to id.import@sealandmaersk.com. You will get the certificate through email easily.
  • EDO
    Simply drop the documents (Original BL, Authorization letter, letter of duty, Container guarantee letter and copy of ID) at our front desk and get document receipt and no need to wait. DO will be submitted online for shipment discharge in terminal NPCT1 and for shipment discharge in other terminal, DO will be sent to the appointed email that stated in authorization letter.
  • MyFinance
    For easier reference of your invoices, you can view/print it online by logging to our website and accessing myFinance. All other details regarding your Statement of Account (SOA) and E-payment can also be accessed here.
