Export & Import Surcharge to/from Paraguay

We are pleased to announce that as of January 18th, 2021, Maersk and Sealand will launch its direct agency operations in Paraguay through our own office in Asunción.

AGENCIA MARITIMA INTEROCEAN S.R.L., currently representing our activity in the country, will cease its representation locally as of January 17th, 2021.

This important milestone reflects the commitment of Maersk and Sealand towards our customers in Paraguay. The new setup will not entail operational changes; weekly services from/into the country will continue as usual. Furthermore, we ensure that the level of attention to your business will remain by Interocean until the date mentioned above.

In line with this change, our surcharges will have a new structure, as follows:

Surcharge: EXPORT SURCHARGE (EXP) – PARAGUAY TO WORLD
Scope: Paraguay to World
Cargo: Dry and Reefer
Amount: USD 63 for 20'/40'per Dry/Reefer containers
Effective date: January 18th, 2021

Surcharge: IMPORT SURCHARGE (I.M.P.) - WORLD TO PARAGUAY
Scope: World to Paraguay
Cargo: Dry and Reefer
Amount: USD 140 for 20'/40'per Dry/Reefer containers
Effective date: January 18th, 2021
