Sealand opens a Delivery Order counter in Dhaka ICD

Sealand Bangladesh began 2021 with an exciting new local service – a Delivery Order counter located inside Dhaka Inland Container Depot (Dhaka ICD).  

“We have many customers in Bangladesh who travel 30km just to collect Delivery Orders from our office and then back to Dhaka ICD to get their containers released. Considering the extreme traffic during counter operating hours, it would take about 4 hours of commuting,” shares Tanim Shahriar, Sealand Bangladesh’s Country Manager. “We saw this as an opportunity to make our customers’ lives easier, and so we opened a counter within Dhaka ICD itself.” 

With the newly opened counter, Sealand customers can avoid the stress and hassle of going through traffic just to get Delivery Orders. 

The team held a simple celebration to commemorate the counter opening while following strict safety and social distancing precautions. The opening was attended by a few members of the Sealand Bangladesh team, and special guests Ms Mobara Khanam (Commissioner of Customs, Dhaka ICD Customs House) and Mr Ahamedul Karim Chowdhury (Deputy Traffic Manager of ICD Kamalapur, Dhaka).

The Dhaka ICD counter was opened in 10th January 2021, and has since gotten positive feedback from customers:
