Genset Charge: U.S. Import Refrigerated Cargo

Effective May 1, 2021, Sealand - A Maersk Company will increase the Genset Charge from USD200 to USD300 per container on all import operating refrigerated containers for CY delivery (except cold treatment cargo and cargo discharging in Philadelphia, PA) that utilizes a Sealand provided genset.

As a reminder, Customers that elect not to use a genset, provide their own genset, or move with Maersk on a store door delivery basis will not be subject to the charge.

Those not using a genset will particularly benefit through faster terminal turntimes and reduce delays due to genset supply constraints.
