Vietnam office closure on lunar new year 2023

In light of the coming Lunar New Year 2023, we would like to update you about our operations in this holiday as follows.

Office Closure Time:

All Sealand Maersk's offices in Vietnam will be closed from Friday, 20 January 2023 to Thursday, 26 January 2023. During this time, we will still have our colleagues on duty at main ports/ terminals/ depots. Please refer to this link for duty schedule during Tet holidays and detailed contact information.

Operations Plan at ports and ICDs during the holiday:

Sealand Maersk will maintain regular operation services at ports including loading/ discharging, laden container lift-off for loading, and empty container lifting on/ off as usual.

Documentation and cargo release:

We will not have payment collection during the time of office closure. Therefore, customers who need the Document or Cargo Release, please ensure the payment is done by Thursday, 19 January, 2023 in order to have smooth release.

Demurrage Exemption for the holiday:

We would like to inform the approach for Demurrage and Detention at all above-mentioned CYs and ICDs as follows:

• Export Cargo: No early pick up for empty containers will be offered on top of standard free time or existing special free time deals.
• Import Cargo: Sealand Maersk Vietnam will waive demurrage charge for both dry and reefer cargoes incurred from Friday, 20 January 2023 to Thursday, 26 January 2023, except all special free time deals and SPOT free time deals. Detention charge will be settled in full as usual.
• Plugging charges (power/electricity fee) for reefer will also be settled in full.

Late Payment fee:

We will apply the following payment deadline for export/import shipments from/to Vietnam:

*Late payment fee will be applied if no payment is received after the mentioned free-time date
